The gear tooth recline adjustments are to the outside of each seat. I have like 6 inches between my front seats.
See photos attached. This may help you. My bird is a "C" 1968 model. Maybe your model is different.

I took my seats out the other day and put them back in the other way around because of this post. Now I have space between the seats!! Thanks for the tip!

My front seats are configured to correct way. I'll try reversing them to see if that will help. BTW, Nice Interior Herb. Karl |
