re gumps

Kevin

Right on !

I always time the gear transistion time (mentally) then check light. Always check gear crossing mda or DH and at the outmarker or FAF on any approach.

re fuel selector.
Anytime I leave the AC in an unsecure location I always shut off fuel at the selector. I have a bright red ribbon that hangs from the knob as a placard. Just in case someone puts a fuel can under the drain outlet and pulls the fuel drain knob....

re props

I Never touch them unless a go-around. Leaving them in course pitch reduces the ambient noise level for those on the ground. The skymaster is not an acoustical stealth type AC. Besides one less thing to worry about during an approach. Why fiddle with things that do not need your attention.

You have it covered in your proceedure anyway. M/P/T
