GAP engine fills engine compartment
And you thought your engine takes up all the room in the compartment... look carefuly at the GAP engine and how much room it took.... I still think that LYC once it gets over its metal problems has...

Gap enigne update
Well it looks like the gov did it to us again... cont engine did the following.. put the enigne in a skymaster.. did taxi testing and then a high speed run... and then quit... yep.. put the thing...

I know your excited but...
it doesn't do much good to say the engine quit... when we don't know the year and model... ???? maybe a N no would be nice so we could go look up the system for your plane... ???

alternator..... for O-2 Belt drive...
You might give cont engine a call on the phone.. they should still have the government contract bid sheet for the O-2's... I know that the old man of cessna used to be able to pull that stuff out...

wouldn't it be nice to have a liquid cooled engine.. and it would do away with all that gas heater stuff... smile... its nice to dream isn't it...

Hey have you ever heard 5 skymasters flying in formation togeather... sounds like a B-36 and a real head turner... saw it once... but, you have to have 5 good pilots that can fly togeather without...

I think you will find that the later ones, 3 point, are just as good as the 4 point seatbelt harness... as the major reason they don't use them in the private planes is 1. they are expensive, 2....
