Finally all done

Side windows all replaced (front was done some years ago).

Total time from the the shop on field:

1. Remove all side windows, inner and outer
The pilot side emergency window required extensive de-riveting etc.
Most windows required some trimming

2. Replace all gaskets and seals, inner and outer, and

3. Re-install,

...was 50 hours.

The fellow was also dealing meticulously with any corrosion he ran across.
He had to clean out some corrosion and treat, replace some tabs that broke, etc.

Any reality checks out there on it being a 50 hour job?

Thanks

Dave,

50 hours is very good in my view. I think when we last spoke, I estimated 40 hours, and I did not include the time to seal the windows afterwards. From what you describe, that is right on the mark as far as labor.

Here are a few pics of my windows - in the process of sealing the outside. I put all new seals and used the original green goop that Cessna used, but wanted to environmentally seal from the outside as well from preventing moisture getting in between the skin and window and causing corrosion.

I went with the light grey tint on all the side windows (outer pane), and clear on the windshield and inner side windows.

Jeff
