This chap mentioned w great reviews on facebook page for 337s

Thought I would cut n paste for others FYI

"Jerry D. Brown -I just had my rear cowl flap motor rebuilt by Matt Elder, MaxQ Composites, 1-207-408-4965. Cowl flaps operate great now"

Matt is a GREAT guy! Really helped me out and is working on an alternate motor system. In fact, I have been in touch with him last week as I am having intermittent issues. If it trouble shoots to the motor, off to him it goes. Treated me really well on the front motor.

Front Cowl Motor

Matt just rebuilt a front cowl motor for me, works great and very reasonable. Thanks to this website for all the useful information it provides. Joe

Front Cowl Motor

The gear on the rotor shaft was slipping (I ended up breaking the gear, my bad) the gear was replaced along with a serviceable planetary gear set (some components were missing from the unit) at a cost of 350.00 + shipping.
