Which model 400 AP?

I don’t think my 69 T337D AP has any external inputs for pitch etc.
Except from the artificial horizon or small control head.

It may just be an “A” model?

AP has the small control head center stack...

Interface to autopilot 400A - found it !

For the most part the autopilot is self-contained within its own harness.

For example, the 'Computer' gets continuous power from the aircraft through a circuit breaker. The control head switch...

The fuel gauges are very strange

I THINK the gauges rely on power to create the magnetic field for the gauge itself.

Remove any right side fascia from passenger seat, and then avionics bay cover.

You can reseat the edge connector...

Should I wait for old history/account to be merged, or create new anyway?

Use upper fascia panels to light lower switch panel....done!

Years back I had Pflueger make up some nice custom panels, when my wife went 'Oooo' as I ran across them online.

"Ooooo" from one's wife is not an interrogatory or descriptive phrase, it is a...

All Avidyne, one mfr, no finger pointing, "That's the other guy's problem"

I like their 'open' platform, simpler, more intuitive I/O.

What is required for installation??

I can see the benefit, but $4,500 installed buys a lot of AP time.

How complex to install?

Any installation manual available to get an idea of it?
