T337G Down…

Sounds like all 4 onboard are okay!

Still a mystery. Been waiting for more information. Someone posted the ATC recording on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-X9m1XpPmI

They stopped comm'ing a few miles out but seemed fine until then. Edit: also just noticed that they had the altitude reporting in there. Was at 100 feet a mile out. No fire, so maybe fuel starve?

Was glad to hear everyone survived. I almost wonder if that tree actually saved their lives.

In reviewing the video of the plane hitting the tree it sounds like at least one of the engines is operating. I can’t tell whether the front prop is stopped vertically or I’m seeing the nose gear down.

One of the news stations has an overhead view of the wreckage, and I’m pretty impressed that the fuselage looks mainly intact.

There is a picture out there that shows the front prop laying on the ground, looked like the blades were feathered. Not flat relative to the flange.

I pulled this off of a news cast video where the prop was shown.

Agreed that it looks feathered. Given that they were very low starting a few miles out I wonder if he had fuel issues and fixated on the front. He wasn't on comms after the last routine call in (as I recall), and one engine should have been more than enough to come in fairly normally.

Think most survived, so I'm surprised there isn't a more definitive update. Guess once the news gets old for earth-bound folks it's up to the NTSB to get more info.
