White Pods at Nashville

Great pics from Nashville! Sure looks and sounds like it couldn't have been better.

I noticed from the pics that there appear to be 2 skymasters with white cargo pods. I currently have a white cargo pod and am having fits trying to keep the exhaust debris off of it.

Do you folks with pods have the same problem or am I missing something?

The pods do tend to collect exhaust stains and the white color does allow it to show quickly. I do not have any solution other than regular cleaning. I have been using a commercial restaurant degreasing solution with good results. The fiberglass gelcoat does not seem to absorb the stain like unwaxed paint might. I recently applied a coat of ReJex surface treatment to see if that is any better but I do not yet have an opinion on its performance. I am hoping that it facilitates the stain release from the painted surfaces of the rear engine cowling, horizontal stabilizer and prop. Let me know it you find any better solution to the problem.
