exhaust tailpipe

Can anyone advise me where to buy a tailpipe for the front exhaust system on a normally aspirated 337 ?
Thanks.

You might try Preferred Airparts:

If you have trouble finding the item or it's too expensive, check with repair facilities that do exhaust parts.

Even for larger items (like the rear engine muffler), my experience is that these specialized repair facilities will "repair" your item, regardless of how dilapidated it may be, and return to you essentially a new item. They'll use maybe a clamp or a tiny piece from your old item and use new items for the rest, and that qualifies as a repair under their FAA repair license. I suggest you get a recent Trade-a-Plane, look for the several display ads from exhaust system repair shops and call them. I think it may be 1/10 of other alternatives.

I cover this and other cost savings idea for parts in my "backup" Skymaster website at www.SkymasterUS.com

The -7 is the left and -8 is the right.
These part numbers fit from 65-72.

I have normally had good success with repairing these items but you might try Don Nieser (link below)
