Gee, you're right! Funny... when I saved both of the photos, my machine automatically saved them as .bmp files... even though they're .jpg's as you described. So, maybe it's operator error on my end!

KHTL, Houghton Lake, a nice airport, with a fly-mart, 96 nm from GRR.
KAMN, Alma, 45 nm from GRR, nice airport.
KOEB, Coldwater, 38 miles from 4N0.

Any interest in any of these excellent Michigan Venues??
If we go to ALMA, and Herb goes along, we could meet in GRR.

Looks like Sunday will be a T-Storm day, at least through the late morning. Let's forget about this weekend, shoot for next weekend, and of course June 19.

I could be convinced. What about Drmmond Island? That sounds more like an adventure to me. Y66, 208 km from GRR, figure about 1.4 hrs. Meet in GRR at 0700 local and be up there by 1000.
Or meet at Alpena APN and go from there together.

My wife will be with me on Sunday as well. It's one of the few times she is not occupied on Sunday.

We could go to ARB, but we'd have to contend with DTW airspace.

well, Ionia would be good, and close, lots of activity, gliders, cars, etc.
Mears, C04 is close to the lake, but I still think that Ionia would be best for all of us.

The only question is what time do we meet at your hangar?
And, is Kevin B coming. Kathryn, my wife, will be with me, probably the only time this year she joins me for Sunday.

Ionia is a good flyin. Wish I can join you all but tomorrow afternoon I'm off to the UK on business. Hoping to get my plane back by the end of the month but...I think it will not be done to after the 4th of July holiday. Why don't you guys meet in the Air? have fun!

Sorry guys just read the post. I have developed a large oil leak yesterday afternoon and will not fly untill I correct it. 2 1/2 qurts in 50 min.........
