Engine Monitor

Hello
I have a FTB337G -1975 in Europe.
I am thinking to install an engine monitor. Does The G4Twin give you Fuel quantity as primary ?
Thanks
Alain

G4

Hello
Thanks for your replay.
So you need to insert the full quantity you have in your tanks and then the fuel computer will give you remaining fuel etc etc ?
Yours have all document and certification ?

Insight G4 considerations

What does this G4 include?

There is the basic EGT CHT
Then options for
Fuel flow, which requires either dual sensors or interface to exisiting sensors
Vibration, which requires RPM
Engine power, which requires dual OAT

The only cert as primary is to replace EGT and CHT, all other is 'advisory/supplemental'
The advisory are better than the certified, but you can't pull the old ones out.

---
From what I've found so far, 100% replacement options for primary gauges are

1. Some combination of multiple Garmin 275s (apparently $13k+ in parts)
It looks like one would need 2-3 gauges. One for each engine then one for tanks?

2. Electronic international the electronics international 'CGR' suite $12k in parts
Then maybe another $3-5k to install.

It looks like it drops to $9k if you trade in, but that assumes you are using existing sensors already installed from prior engine analyzer.

3. Or EI's twin package MVP package

https://iflyei.com/product/mvp-50p-engine-monitor/

This requires panel cutting so install cost probably quite a bit more.

I'm actively considering an engine analyzer, BUT.....that old 'cost/benefit thing
