Flying Adventure 2015 TEXAS

In a previous thread that highlighted the Idaho Back Country trip in 2013 we mentioned a flying trip to the New England region. Well it's a go and here is all the info on the adventure:

http://www.riverviewairport.com/Rive...land_Trip.html

This is a Riverview Pilots gathering but want to extend an invitation to any other pilots that might be interested to go. I know that SOAPA did a great trip out there in 2012 and I unfortunately missed the trip. Thanks again to Bill and Ken for hosting that event.

Go to the link above and check out the info and if you are interested you can register online with no commitments required. I really suggest if you are thinking about going, to book your rooms as things are going to fill up real quick in these areas. Hope to see some Skymasters show up but all aircraft are welcome. If you have any questions please let me know.

There is still time to book a room but they are going fast. See attached for all the info and go to www.riverviewairport.com to register.

If you might be thinking about going or are concerned about last minutes conflicts (weather) go ahead and book the rooms so you have them. Read the cancellation policy so that you can cancel if needed. Some of the properties offer insurance that allows you to cancel up to the day of arrival.

We have about a dozen planes registered to date and this will be a really great time with fellow pilots and friends. Please let me know if you have any questions

Hi Herb,

See you made it safely into Bahaba, have a great weekend. I'd like to be there and was in fact seriously considering accompanying the entourage until I read the itinerary. It was just to frenetic for my sensibilities, more like work than vacation. But I would like to spend two or three days touring the Maine coast sometime. Post some travelogue pictures and commentary, if you have a chance, so we of the working class can vicariously enjoy the trip.

Happy trails, Steve G.

Steve
This is the simplest agenda that anyone could come up with. 2 dinners and three days of flying? If that's too much work you need to relax, BTW, it's been a very relaxing weekend. Sorry you didn't join us.

Texas

Hi Herb and All,

When you make the trip to Texas, a good fuel and lunch stop is Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Code ARG. As you know before I retired I flew to Houston quite a bit and found ARG as a great place to stop. Reasonable fuel prices and very nice restaurant. Part of the restaurant is a converted Boeing 737. Just a suggestion to make your trip enjoyable.

Hope all have a safe and happy trip.

Cheers
Jerry
