tip tank installation
Yesterday dropped off the 73 p model at BNA, Nashville. Owen will install tip tanks. Evryone contemplating extensive radio work would be well advised when running wires through in some extra pairs. Fortunately the person who had previously owned 576hg had this foresight. Alltogether this aircraft has 12 mods:
1. GEM 2 stec65 3. intercooler 4. eci digital everything 5. 60 amp 6fuel computer 7. r-stol 8. kx 155-196 87 wx1000 alt alert radar alt9 metal panel 10sp105 b synchrophasrer11. r-door seals and next 40 gallon tip tanks.
Owen is rengeerring a p model to take on a GTSIO engine. I think our airframes will hold our money together as new propulsion options become available.
The flight was typical summer buildup. early departure and skirt the bad stuff. coming back through BNA i was searched twice. the second guy confiscated my cigar cutter. airport security is burdensome. Southwest came through over the top at 37,000 with some light turbulance. I would like to spend some time exploring Nashville. James C. Henderson
