Similar issue (but not the same)

I've always gotten complaints from my middle passengers about the temp. While helping with the annual this year I noticed that the vent line was kinked where it enters the cabin from the wing. The tubing was surprisingly pliable, almost like a neoprene material. Anyone have similar findings? I want to make it a smoother curve before it turns into the cabin, and was considering either changing the type tube, putting in a PVC elbow, or running a similar diameter spring inside of it to force it to stay open. Any thoughts?
