Looking for Interior Dome Light Lens

Im looking for Part# 1515021-1, Its the interior Dome light plastic lens cover. If anyone has a spare laying around or know where I can get one, please let me know. Its for my 75' T337G

Thanks!

Or if I can borrow one from someone so can scan it to take measurements So I can create a model for 3D printing.

Just by the views alone, there seems to be an interest in the dome light. If I cant find one to borrow, I will try to reproduce one without it.

Challenge accepted.

That would be great, I will try to do my best in replicating the part.

Just to be clear, I would like to start with 1515021-1, the lens with the "wings" at the end.
There is another version of the light dome that is flat all the way. I would later work on that one if I can also get a hold of one too.

All I will do is take reference pictures and measurements from the borrowed part, nothing more. Once I get a good model and test print that is satisfactory, I will promptly return the part. It should take no more than a week.

I included the two version images.

Same here! I'd put one in my parts stock if another were available.

I have a brand new version 2--the flat one. That is also the one I have installed in my plane. I don't have the one with the "wings" on the end.

The ends of the flat one are different--both have a curved piece but they are of different sizes and different radii. My plane is a normally aspirated 77G

A HUGE THANKS TO DAN FOR SENDING ME THE PART TO REPLICATE!!!

ONE STEP CLOSER...now for the hard part...3D Print to resin cast. This part will take some time as I need to order some materials i.e epoxy resin, silicone mold stuff, etc....

I will try a couple of different opaque white colors to full transparency. I also added some extra material (not much) to where by looking at the part is a bit more fragile or where its more prone to crack.

As soon I get a good mold done, I will make them available for everyone.

Im not going to charge and arm or leg for these dome lights, my whole purpose was to make one for my plane, but If I can help out others, Ill be glad to do so.

What would be a fare price? I was thinking $30-40?. It would be nice just to recoup my expenses of buying the equipment (vacuum & chamber for degassing) and materials. (maybe I should get a list going?)

Attached is the first 3d test print to verify measurements, etc...then I will get a clean part done for casting.

Its Progress!

I love to see this kind of ingenuity. I'll take one because, why not?

Progress Update

9/13/22 UPDATE:

So I test fitted the dome light before I start casting. The fitment was perfect. I have the silicone on hand, Im waiting for the UV resistant resin to come in. Keep in mind this is just a 3D test print using white PLA filament.

I will experiment the castings to have the same translucent opaque offwhite as the original.

Sorry for the missing panels...my plane is in the shop going through an avionics upgrade.
