Question Entry Door (lower air stair)

I have a 77 337 G and one of the chains that holds the lower door has a broken link. I repaired it temporarly but would like to replace both chains and the covers. any thoughts? Guy Paris

Chains & Covers

Guy,

Make a bee-line for your local hardware store and take along the broken chain and match it up with new. As to covers, you can have a local upholstery shop fabricate what you need from naughahyde or leather and then slip them over the chains before you install them, unless you want to buy the covers from Cessna and last time I checked they were something in the vicinity of $400 per side! An alternative is to select the plastic covered chain that's available at the hardware store and comes in several colors, although these won't withstand the constant flexing and in time the plastic will become brittle and break.

Angry

Only $400.00 a side! Such a deal, recently had to buy a cowl flap motor from them. Beans and franks for a long time. Thanks for the info. Guy Paris....
