Car seats...

Anyone here have experience with car seats in the 337? I’m trying to keep a flying wife flying but her requirements are be able to access 2 munchkins in car seats (both still rear facing) but one should be forward facing in a few months. Just looking to see if car seats have been installed by anyone and what seating configurations worked.

We have one in our 337G. We started out with just the one we had in the car, but that became a pain taking it in and out of the car, so we bought a second one for the airplane. It fits in no problem, though we did have to put it forward facing for the seatbelt to secure it.

Our little one still sits rear-facing in the car, and we looked at all the reasons they recommend that for cars. In the end we decided the likelihood of being in a situation in the airplane where that might make a difference was probably very slim. In all the back-seat flying I did when I was his age, my parents never worried about which way I faced... or even put me in a car seat for that matter.

The only complaint I have is that we don't have a baggage door, so the car seat has to come out any time I want to fold up the bench seat to access the baggage area.

With two small boys I owned 7 car seats

Two in my wife's car.
Two in thee airplane
Two in my car.
On in my convertible.

Simple than securing and un-securing all the time.

When kids were very small one rear facing seat with wife in other rear seat.
As kids got larger, front facing seats (in rear seats).

I kept fake sheepskin seat covers - cool in summer, warm in winter,
and easy to toss/clean if the kids tossed.

Some low-cost shooting headsets, so didn'thave to worry about small children w wires, or earplugs.

Worked great
