Gear Won't Retract

I Have a 1974 337G, three flight ago when I pulled the gear lever up after take off, the gear wouldn't retract. The doors would open, you can hear the power pack working bu no retraction of the gear. Had the mechanic check it and put it on the jacks and according to hin the problem was miss alignment of the from gear. Flew it afterwards, died three landings and worked OK. Then last sat. flew it again and the same problem happened again. Now the doors open, the power pack works but the from gear don't move either.

Any suggestions on what to check or any input on someone the has had a similar problem will greatly be appreciated.

Regards,

Rod

Here is the suggestions from the service manual. You did not mention if you had tried these so I will start by posting this and see if it helps. There are limits to the doors that need to be activated before the system will allow the gear to retract. These limits are a safety so that the gear does not damage the doors during retraction. If it works on the ground up on jacks then when in the air it does not work there is a problem with alignment of a limit switch that is failing because of the air pressures during flight that are not found on the ground test.

Thanks very much for your help Herb. Thankfully the problem was fixed, it was a cracked wire plus some corrosion on connectors.

Happened again, lets see what the mechanic finds tomorrow. Obviously the problem wasn't fixed last time. Any other suggestions or tips on what to look for welcome!
