New thread? This has been one of the best and most visited. Can't break a good thing! Where we going? Shall we suggest some spots? Mack Island ($20) Jackson (ol standby) Ludington (food)

LDM is good, food, I was going to suggest RCR (food), but LDM is very nice, on the shore. Let's do it. Sunday the 9th. Meet at GRR, everyone goes up together. Herb and I will be flight of 2, then Kevin and Gerry can take off and join up. How does that sound. Maybe some others will show up. Maybe some Indiana skymasters, or Illinois skymasters. Who knows, maybe even some Ohio skymasters.
I used to practice NDB approaches at LDM. You can walk across the street. Last edited by WebMaster : 10-04-05 at 09:55 PM. |

Why not Herb, Larry and Gerry flight of three? And then Kevin can join up. We could hope for good photo weather, invite some photographers to ride along, meet at ........... say Holland or Grand Haven and fly the lake shore to LDM. Make some awesome 337 pics against the water. Ummmm not a bad idea?
HLM is fun but I don't suggest any formation take offs. They got one of them there NDB's too. Pratice those old style approaches.

HLM and 3GM are kind of short and narrow for Kevin. Gerry has a new engine. BIV would be okay for them, as would MKG. Just some more thoughts. Skymasters on the lakeshore would be cool. I would love to have a photo of you taking off in formation, we don't have one of those.
Oh, wait, do I hear PHOTO OP!!! EVEN MORE AIR TO AIR!!! I'll drum up a photographer, you keep your head up, we'll get some more great photos. Kevin?? Gerry?? Anyone else?? |

I am thinking different now because of Mark (goat150). He is in Ohio and it may be better if we go south to better his trip up here.
One idea is to meet in Jackson and fly south from there to ......... someplace or just meet together in Jackson for lunch. The only day I have open is Sunday. I may not be able to get away until 11:30 or so. I could be in Jackson around Noon.
