Thanks, Guy, on posting this. When you see this video, it seems clear why Continental/Colgan Flight 3407 went down near Buffalo. While this problem is less likely in GA aircraft, all of you who may encounter icing should see this movie, in part because the recovery actions required for a tailplane icing stall are almost exactly the opposite of what you are accustomed to for a wing stall.

I agree that we all should view this. Quite amazing to reflect the facts of the recent DH8 Flight 3704 with the information shown here. This video is over 10 years old.
