LED upgrade

1977 337G coming up for annual. I would like to upgrade to LED’s. The landing and taxi lights are straight forward. I need info regarding the wingtip lights/strobes and the tail light.

Are there drop-in bulbs available that do not entail removing current boxes/wiring?

A word of caution with these lights, they can cause some interesting radio noise if not using shielded wire. These may be fine but I would check with the company to make sure.

I have both these position lights and landing light on my 182. Purchased at Oshkosh. I specifically asked while there about certification and legality and they reassured. My IA has had no problem with them x yrs. The position lights I have can "strobe"-which is not legal at night when they need to be constantly burning. Just be sure to "strobe" only during the day. At the show and in use, the landing lights seemed to put out much better light than the Whelen products. Plan to do the same with my 337.

The "LIGHT EMITTANCE" meet the requirements for the airspace but the parts are not PMA or TSO'd

These would be legal for Experimental because they meet the light emittance requirement but technically they must have approval for certified aircraft
