I've had lunch several times at the Holiday Inn (stayed overnite as well.) It's good and there are other good cajun places nearby but you'll have to get a ride or a cab.
Been to Marksville many times but not since the casino opened. Thanks for reminding me. Monroe (MLU) has a great plate lunch restuarant in the terminal - a short walk from the FBO (north end of field.) Lafayette (LFT) has a terminal restuarant a short walk from Fornet FBO. Lots of locals.
