Trim Wheel Stuck?

Hey Guys, I just recently purchased Barry's 75' T337G skymaster...
I have a question about the trim wheel... When I took the plane home for the first time, and manually setting the elevator trim wheel for takeoff was fine. However later in the flight, I was playing with the electric trim which works great, but I wanted to fine tune my trim...but the trim wheel feels stuck, I cant manually move it up or down anymore without the feeling of breaking it.

So, I flew the rest of the flight with electric trim and waiting to get on the ground to see if the electric trim overrides it somehow... nope. With everything turned off, I still cant manually move the trim wheel without the feeling of breaking it.

In short, the trim wheel was working before T/O and the first hour or so of the flight until I engaged the electric trim, then nothing.

Is the electric trim somehow preventing me from manually moving the elevator trim wheel, something still engaged even after power is off?

I have also played with the engage/disengaged switch during the flight... same result.

Thanks

Honestly in all my hours of flying my p337, I have never used the trim wheel because I always use electric trim. Next time I'm in the plane I'll give it a go and report back.

Check your trim servo motor to verify clutch/drive is mechanically disconnecting. 2 things happen when you run your trim. Clutch engages and motor drives. Sounds like clutch is jammed up and staying engaged. It’s not releasing mechanically when trim switch is released.

Lightly tap on trim servo to see if you can get it to release. Clutch/drive probably worn and won’t release.

Mine was stuck because the interconnect cable btw trim and flaps was stuck
To much anti corrosion treatment
In your right rear part of tailboom and under right wing just outside boom you find the interconnect cable ends

Went out to my plane this weekend, getting ready to open the inspection panel where the servo is located ...I decided to once more Joggle the trim. I softly joggled it up/down for about 3-5 seconds, the trim wheel disengaged! Trim is working as it should now with the electric trim off. Must of been the heat that loosened it, LOL

I will still have the clutch looked at, at its next annual (3 months from now).

Thanks everyone.
