Replacing Hoses-Bulk Hose Source

Hi,

Has anyone made their own firewall forward hoses? How did you find the correct hose specifications and material?

Thanks!

I did look at doing it at the last hose replacement interval, however, if you call around, I think you will find it cheaper to buy a set in. I bought the entire set from Precision Hose for less than the materials cost. They all had fire sleeves, labels and were all tested. The one hose that was wrong (wrong fitting) was replaced by them in 48 hours.

On the other hand, a long time ago, I did rebuild several hoses with the assistance of an A&P and it was an OK experience. We also had access to a test rig to pressure test them which I woudl consider very important to do.

My two cents worth.

Fly safe - Dave
