drag/thrust

soon aviation enterprise will offer aturbo normailiozed big bore 310 hp continous hp continental on the front of a 337 . I like the idea of 450 fpm enhance cruise and 20kts increase cruise . Only 2 gallons more fuel per hour. our p 337's are great traveling machines. Like most light twins full load and high density altitudes it sucks. Most of our missions is full loads. Our other alternative is Duke or 421. I have flown both and prefer the skymaster for ease of in and out and the high wing visibility. Maybe this stc will make financial sense to do one engine. J

WebMaster is on a distinguished road
Only 1??

You are doing only 1 engine as the IO-550? I would think you would want/need to do both the same.
I remember Owen talking about installing the IO-550 on the front of a skymaster. Is it yours?

i engine on the front

wish it was mine. its currently on his. my aircraft is great just need a tad more performance. could be i would never be satisfied. my preferance is more takeoff and climb performance. my engine would make a good donor. someone maybe the bombardier is the solution. geared engines fadec and liquid cooling . who knows maybe technology is going backwards. just traveled with friend in his duke. great airplane but beat my time on normal trip by 20 minutes. 4 .3 hour trip. steep on fuel long on comfort.
