Question Interior Plastic Parts for 73 Pressurized T337G

Anyone know of a source for used (or new) interior plastic trim parts for this model.

I have sent a request to Don Nieser, and it appears that a few select parts are available through Plane Plastics - but the critical door parts are not available through them yet.

If PlanePlastics can't help you, Don Nieser may be able to. Other than that, a general parts search at places like Preferred Airparts is the only suggestion I can make (as well as buying the part from Cessna, if still available, I assume you checked that).

Good luck,

Kevin

Pat:

Plane Plastics has almost everything. However, a word of warning. If you look at their catalog on CD or the web, you mihgt not see what you want. They only show the PMA'd parts. But they have the other parts, for which they have not yet received PMA status. If you don't see the part you are looking for, give them a call. What happens is that they ask you to send in your original part, they compare it to their "not yet approved" parts, and that allows them to sell the new part to you. I did this with the center pedestal and the throttle quadrant on my 73 P.

Another thing to know about parts from Plane Plastics. They do not come with any holes or metal hardware. Many require trimming. You have to remove the metal parts from your original parts and fasten them to the new parts. It can be a bit of work. However, the parts from Plane Plastics are thcker than the original, and more robust. I have been very happy with the pieces I have received so far.

I left a voice message for Plane Plastics after the last exchange... Supposedly they return your call as soon as the next person is available....3 days later...no return calls... Tonight I left another message via email for customer service.. Hoping to get some response... Maybe they don't have the parts...

I guess I'll goto Cessna next.. or make my own...

Pat:

They were very good at getting back to me. Try calling again and asking for Bryan Powers. I think he is the sales manager. He is the one I talked to, and was very helpful and very prompt.

If they have the parts, you will find them to be superior to Cessnas, although there might be more work involved.
