(Off Topic) Beech Starships

Does anyone visit San Antonio, Texas. I am seeking the registrations for the four (4) Beech Starships reportedly parked there. Any info welcomed.

Beech Starship

Oh, they are there alright, may not have engines fitted now. Many have survived the reported "break up" by Raytheon, some in museums, some in training schools, the U S Military received one, some sold privately, four are still active, one in Mexico and we have one right here in Queensland, Australia.
Just thought that one of the members may work/visit/live in San Antonio.
As well as researching the Cessna O-2's, this a/c is my next favourite. I flew in NC-43 during it's demo tour of Australia.

Unhappy

Just watched a show on the History Channel about the scrap business. They did a segment on the Starship. They said Beech did buy up all they could, but there was one man in Texas that refused to sell his. He bought up all Beechcraft's remaining parts stock and 4 parts airplanes from Evergreens storage facility in Az. Being made of carbon fiber, they have to grind them up and burn them. so much for recycling. The episode is called Boneyards.

I'f I'm not mistaken, Burt Rutan still files a Starship (no, not that one). He had it at Oshksoh a few years ago.

starship

There was a Beech Starship at OSH this year. It was parked at one of the big commerical hangars in the north 40 acre area. It was all white, engines mounted on rear of each wing.
