Shadin Digidata

Has anyone secured Field Approval for the installation of a Shadin Digidata as a replacement for the factory fuel flow (pressure) gauge?

The Shadin Digiflo is STC-ed for the Cessna 337, but the Shadin Digidata is not STC-ed for any aircraft, according to Shadin.

The Digidata has the fuel flow features of the Digiflo, but in addition has air data functions such as TAS, actual headwind/tailwind, etc., and the air data info is is displayed on the Digidata itself along with the fuel flow for each engine. In other words you don't have to page through a Garmin 430/530 to display the air data.

I have a Digidata installed, but to the best of my knwoledge no one's got an approval to use in inplace of the factory fuel flow gage.

An alternative you may consider is to get the DigiFlo - which can be used in place of the factory gage and the Insight TAS 1000 Air/Data system. That combo essentially does when the DigiData does, but it will take a bit for panel space.
