Moving my 337 with a tractor or?

Hi All,
I have a Power Tow with the electric start. It works quite well however with my compromised shoulders it is becoming somewhat difficult. Has anyone used anything
else like a lawn tractor with a tow bar arraignment? Any other suggestions? I have my plane in a T hangar.
Thanks, Guy Paris....

Guy, I am not sure you wanted this post in the "LINKS" category???

For the purpose of exiting the hangar, assuming the aircraft is facing forward to come out, I have a tow bar that my good friend Larry gave me. It has a ball hitch in it and I can pull the plane out with my truck. This is very useful when there is snow on the ground. Using the tow bar to return the airplane to the hangar requires the hitch to be on the front of the truck. I haven't rigged my truck this way yet but would be a pretty easy task.

Using the tow bar with a ATV or lawn mower (rider) would be great as you could have the hitch on the front to pull the airplane out and return it to the hangar (that's how my friend Larry did it)

Here are some tow bars available

Check Barnstormers under EQUIPMENT and then TOW BARS

I had an older lawn tractor that I wasn't using any more so I made a bracket for the front. Works great and only cost about $60. There's a ball on the rear, too.

Here's another picture showing the Bogert tow bar. Easy to attach and remove. Notice the Fun Noodle Prop Protectors. My mechanic loves them!
