In Australia, particularly central Australia, Coober Pedy you know where they dig for opals I filled up last week for $1.38 per litre equals $5.22 Aust. per gallon with an exchange rate of about 0.57 equals about $2.98 Yankee dollars per gallon.

At major aerodromes cost is about $2.26 US dollars per gallon.

Guess we are not that bad off after all
