door steward

I am thinking about installing a door steward on my skymaster.
Has anyone done that? If so where did you purchase it and how
was it installed?
thanks,

Howard

The door steward that I am familiar with is not STC'd for 337

Cessna aircraft models: 170, 172, 175, 177, 180, 182, 185, 205, 206, 207, and unpressurized 210.

door steward

Thanks Herb.
I was just wondering my door keeps coming closed all the time.
Not really a problem just a pain.

Door steward on C337

Howard,
Someone out there has installed one on a Cessna 337 - I remember seeing some pictures online (I think the aircraft was for sale - may be in the threads somewhere). I imagine this could be installed under a Form 337 Major Alteration - can't see the door structure being much different from a 206 or 210. I have been thinking of putting one on too - it is just buried under the list of "must do's" that I have on the go.

The original mechanism works pretty good but most of the parts are worn out if it doesn't stay open for you. This design allowed the door to stop and stay put at about 80% open and then the next cog opened the door beyond 90 degrees and held it there. Not sure about parts or repair but might be worth a look. Mine still works.....

Here is a picture of a door steward on a C337 that is for sale on TAP. Registration is on the site...wonder if we could find the 337 for installation...
