Sim training in Seattle

Aviation Training Center in Seattle offers simulator training for Skymasters (all models) using a Frasca simulator. This training is approved by several insurance companies.

Here is their web site.

Marie is the person to contact there. I plan to take my simulator training there this year, in April.

ATC in Portland

Hi Kevin

I just finished my initial 337 sim training in Portland at Avaition Training Center http://www.serv.net/~atc/.
The good news: Great instructor, nice people, great location, beautiful school. I learned alot about the 337.
The bad news: they never got the sim to work with a centerline thrust. For some reason an engine out created a yaw to the failed side. Not a very big one, easily taken care of with the manual rudder adjustment.
Given that it was a Frasca 142 there really is not a reason that it will not work, if I can get my sim 2002 to work i know they can get their Frasca to work.

Thanks for the heads up Adam. Was Marie's husband there when they were trying to do this? Reason I ask, I have test flown their sim, and there was no yaw. But it took him to make it do it...

Anyway, I will make sure they get it squared away before I go up.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin

I think so, he is the retired diver? They had someone come in and set it up. He (the retired diver) worked on it a few times but never cleared it up completely.

He's the owner and chief instrutor, not sure if he is a retired diver. The only picture I have of him is attached to the next message in this thread, but it is just the back of his head at the sim console.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

Kevin
