near center line thrust
Has anyone heard of the Aeroprakt? I saw an A-26 for sale so researched them. It is a Russian factory built experimental that has two rear facing rotax engines, the A-26 using the 582 and the A-36 using the 912U. They are "near centerline thrust with supposedly benign single engine failures and also supposedly able to take off and climb well with only one engine. The A-36 is quoted at 160mph cruise at 10gph burn. Sound interesting, just curious...
