Who is this mysterious "him" of which you speak?

Dr Z, please take everything from “him” with a grain of salt.

I think weight increase involves use of winglets. See below. Several posts on the forum about this.

Kim Geyer is an unknown quantity at this point
I think Air Scan was working on a gross weight increase several years. Don’t know what ever happened with it.

Jack Riley was working on the 5,400 lb gross weight increase and I can only wonder what happened. Did his stroke bring it to an end or was there a hurdle the FAA put in place that was near impossible to overcome? Wouldn’t be the first time FAA politics put a stop or serious setback to something that would have been good for aviation ie Bill Lear’s Learfan, Beechcraft’s Starship, Darwin Conrad’s gross weight and pressurization increase for the Royal Turbine, etc.

Bill Crews (skymaster.com) worked with Jack. Im sure if you call him he’ll let you know. 864-583-5967
Also i know the O2 structure was much more beefy than the standard 337. Might be worth looking into an O2, Im sure Don @ commodore knows whats possible (405) 503-4686 .

The only Gross Weight Increase that I am aware of is Air Scan and they only did it on their planes. It was not available to the public. But I would be surprised if they might sell it as I don't think they are using the 337 anymore or are still in business. Although someone purchased a lot of inventory from Air Scan so they may have the STC. They had to do a drop test to prove the concept, very pricey.
