Airspeed Indicator MPH vs Knots

My 1974 Pressurized Skymaster (T337G) has an airspeed indicator that reads in knots. But my POH and all the placards in my airplane read in MPH. The ASI has all the correct markings in places that, when converted to MPH, match the POH.

My questions:
1) Where can I get a MPH ASI for my aircraft?
2) Should I bother?
3) Is it legal the way it is right now?

Dan

I'll go right to question 2:

No. I have the same situation as you and it's no problem.

EDIT: I have a dual-scale ASI; with the primary scale not matching the POH. The secondary scale matches the POH.

The ASI is supposed to match whatever it says in your POH. I was going to have my 1965 changed to knots but legally I have to either keep it in MPH or a dual knot/MPH (likely the route I'll go).

Dan, my 1973 T337G also has an ai in knots with a POH in mph. My placards however use both kias and mph. The placards were done by Riley and may have been a way to address this issue. I was told by the previous owner that Cessna was changing over to kias in the early 70's on their airspeed indicators and that the POH's lagged behind. I could send you pics of my placards and you could have stickers made if you wanted to go that route. I would not change the airspeed indicator. Hope that helps....feel free to call.

Thanks Flyer770 and Red Air Rambo. It is a tricky issue for people like me, who just like things to be "right"

Dual-scale. It's fine.
