Flying in Paradise II

This picture was taken last saturday in "paradise". It is a yellowfin tuna, estimated near 250 pounds.
Don, we are leaving friday the 28th of february on our way to Cancun. Our plan is to go to Nicaragua and Belize before Cancun. By march HP-669 is going to be on the year inspection and I think IŽll have to send both propellers for overhaul. Congratulations, your spanish is perfect. Chachi

look who's talking

The way I see it Keven, it's 58 F, and sunny, in Greenville. In GRR, it's 21 and snowing. I think I'd settle for your weather

You guys probably never even get to turn on the Pitot heat. Boy, that's unfortunate. Why, last weekend, I went out and did a little flying. I landed 4 times, and to do that required 2 ILS's (one at night), a localizer back course, and a VOR approach.
Heck, if the sun was shining, I could have done the whole thing VFR, what fun is that??

C'mon Now . . . .

I ventured away from God's country (GMU) last Thursday, headed to OSU to drop the kids off with the grandparents for the long weekend, and then headed towards Teterboro (TEB) with Allie Cat for the Big City weekend. I'll admit, I had to lean towards the yoke to make sure it was the pitot heat I was toggling on rather than the taxi lights You're right, we don't get to use it much down here.

It was strange . . . I went through all of that IMC up north, shot an NDB into OSU and an ILS into TEB and didn't pick up any ice

Just lucky I guess.

Talking No Ice

Hey Keven, you live right! Come to Michigan and we'll introduce you to some ice. Actually, I don't pick up ice that often, but when I do, its normal a load. That's mostly because when I come back from a trip I descend through thick layers of clouds. Otherwise, I avoid ice as much as I can.

Hope you had a good and enjoyable stay in The Big Apple.

cheers
Jerry
