I had been looking at that airplane for a while, I love my NA plane, but living in the mountains, I really wish I had turbos and pressurisation.
I think 337RR ended up getting bought by a guy on the west coast somewhere. How do you like your Riley? Leighton. |

Love it. Very comfortable. It has all the equipment that I was looking for and in particular AC. here is south Florida, it is really nice to have. Not only on the ground but also at low altitudes. It makes a huge difference to comfort.
It also came with the spoilers which are also very useful. I can stay higher and then expedite the descent and still make crossing restrictions while keeping the engines and pressurization up. And it has the Riley intercoolers which are also a must (Intercoolers that is). The only downside of all that equipment is useful load. In practice that is not much of a restriction. With full fuel, it is my wife and I plus light luggage. Generally, it is my wife and I flying in any event. The few times I have had four on board were for shorter flights like St Petersburg FL or the Bahamas. So very happy with that airplane.... Richard |
