Following is some good info. (1) adapter clutch springs are available in std., M15, M28 and M43 with full installation instructions. This could save you a $1500.00 starter shaft.(2) DO NOT instal the new TCM "Iskra" or Sky-Tec lightweight geared (4 to 1) starters as they won't turn backwards to allow the clutch spring to disengage, destroying a $1500.00 main gear shaft on the first start, at worst and at best,in a 100 hours or so.(3) CAM O/H parts kits contain all the seals and bearings and clips and parts for O/H of the adapter, available when you buy a spring.(4) NAP can give you 2 day service on your adapter to get you up and going, no extra charge.
