Trips 2019!
Well, my plans for the Bahamas Christmas vacay were ditched in the 0.5 sec it took for me to snap my quad tendon in a fall that featured a 4x8 sheet of plywood. Can’t fly the bird with my leg in full post surgical extension. And thus it will stay until Feb.
So flying to a beach chair in Belize where I will prep for my commercial written exam. I will pencil in the TN adventure and revive the Bahamas plans for spring. If any wish to join speak up, and do make sure to get that CBP sticker early. I gave it 5 wks and apparently that’s not enough—-still don’t have it. Who knows how the fed shutdown will further aggravate. So it’s not such a loss to change plan. Happy holidays and an adventurous 2019 to all Tim

Sorry to hear the news Tim. Hope all gets better after the surgery. Smokey Mountains is going to be a real popular destination this May. Get your rooms early and secure by contacting Tammy at 616-901-nine5two7
Bahamas to follow in 2020 so stay tuned, Flying Adventures will satisfy that buck list item.

Skymaster meeting and flying
Folks
We can incorporate a Skymaster meeting in Gatlinburg during this Flying Adventure 2019. Ideas would be: 1. Open forum for owners in a conference setting Ownership today Buying in todays market Maintenance and mods Performance, stock and modified 2. Flying with other Skymasters to a fun destination day trip 3. Future ideas for more Skymaster flying trips Bahamas 2020 4. Website ideas as there is some action that could happen for a revamped website The location is very convenient lots of options for hotels, rentals, cabins, mountain properties, ect. Not as convenient for west coast folks but it is a very desirable destination on the scope of proximity and things to do for all. There may be a lot of other good ideas floating around as there is some talk about the islands as well this year. Thoughts? Let's hear some comments and ideas posted here about this Adventure. It's a lot of fun to meet up with like pilots with a passion for what we love.

Gatlinburg and islands sound great
I'm interested in this forum as a new owner.
BAHAMAS looks good to me, I'm likely to go in 2019. When is the Gatlinburg fly-in? Avionics options is another topic I'm interested in as I haven't gotten ADS-B out yet. Russ N8CV T337G - P model |
