One Time
Once I heard of someone who installed it through the bottom of the vertical stabilizer. On one side, there is a light, but frequently on the other side, there is nothing. The used an electric window motor to reel it in and back out. They are designed to shut down when resistance is felt. A simple ping pong ball provided enough drag to make sure it extended out. You don't need much on the end of the wire. I have a small cone on the end, as well. On a non-P model, the installation isn't that difficult. On a P-model, it could be more difficult to install, because of the need to penetrate the pressure hull.
Hope that helps. |
