Smile fuel quantity

Hi all,

From my information it would appear that all the early model Skymasters , from the 336 thru 72 337's had 93 gal tanks.(92 usable) With the optional aux tanks installed they had 131 gals(128 usable)
I think this might be where the 118 number might have fallen through the cracks of someones memory !!!!

All most interesting tho

rodc

Wayne Pearce is an unknown quantity at this point
Talking Fuel Qty

I have 337G, it has 123 gal total fuel with 118 gal useable (446.6 litres) The aircraft also has 3 tanks in each wing I know 'cause one of them cracked and had to be welded, this is what was known as long range fuel before the 4 tank system, I wonder what extra load this puts on the outboard area of the wings when aircraft is at rest ?

Regards ..... Wayne
