Yup. This has been coming.
First refusal to do waas upgrades on non waas units. Then, couple years ago my 430 keys went out and they said they wouldn’t accept it for repair. So figured out how to fix it myself. Last edited by wslade2 : 03-15-23 at 10:33 PM.

Well that sucks, I just bought my 530W 6months ago,... luckily it was sent out to Garmin for an overall overhaul and updated the firmware to the lastest rev before i bought it. Hopefully she will last me a few years.

Yeah, not surprising. Both my 430Ws went through refurbishing in the last three years, and I think they will outlast me and/or the airframe.
