I have read all the books. Did you end up marrying a girl of Japanese descent?

There is some literary license taken in the novel, but to answer your question: yes, my Japanese wife and I have been married for 45 years.

I am well into the second book and they are both great reads. Thank you for your service, firstly, and for your great novels, secondly. I enjoy them very much and will definitely get the third installment.
