The service manual says that the governor "should" be overhauled when the engine is overhauled...but also says that it is a "judgement" call to overhaul the governors anytime before that. And that you can get an overhaul manual from Cessna.
I can't imagine what else a governor overhaul would entail, besides new o-rings and internal springs. Has anyone seen a Cessna governor overhaul manual? Last edited by Skymaster337B : 02-25-11 at 12:34 AM.
