JetPhotos Capture Michigan Flyers
At the flyin on Memorial Day, 34EC and 2JF were caught taking the sky. This was at YIP in Detroit. Jerry and I were in formation for the take off to JXN when the paparazzo fired the weapon. Nice shots.
ADDED THE FORMATION T/O PHOTO

Looking at the photo of Jerry's plane, it appears that the spring on the right main gear door flapper door is broken (door not closing).

Been there too. That camera has way too much detail.

Herb,
How have the winglets and boom fairings changed your performance? Any noticeable difference at low or high end? They look great and make the plane look more modern. |

I am really pleased with the modifications I installed. The plane flys great and really has not changed anything dramatically. The aircraft is very stable on approach, in cross wind situations, slight heavier on the elevator and clean in cruise. I have about 30 hours on the plane since the completion of the restoration and I have no regrets. It is a pure joy to fly and see the reaction of fellow pilots when on the ramp. Most people ask me what year it is and I tell them "it's a 2009". I have owned this plane since 1976 so it's like putting on a fine glove each time I enter the cabin.
See ya at Oshkosh? 2JF will be on display in the contemporary area. Stop by.
