Fuel Tank Gaskets Available
Fuel tank gaskets, under the fuel probe plate, available made from Viton Grade A material.
The originals made out of a composite cork compound do not hold their shape etc. Cessna's price on these gaskets is right at 300.00 each today. Depending on your aircraft your tanks use a total of 4 or 6 of these gaskets. On my aircraft I have also cut a 30 degree (60 degree conical) countersink in the fuel probe plate and have installed a vition oring under the small washers to seal the bolts from leaking. The gasket that I have available is p/n SE 1516118-1, grade A Viton, owner produced, 49.00 dollars each. Dan N67S picture to follow. |

I am right in the middle of going through my tanks and there is no way i’m paying $1200 for bad gaskets when I can replace with a whole kit from cies for 2400, which includes gaskets. May be interested in this though.
