Original Gauges... removed or not

Hi all,
I will do an avionic upgrade on my 1977 FTB337G. I decided to install 2 x GI 275 EIS , 2 GI 275, Transponder Garmin 345, GTN 650 an AP Stec 55x and the BOM from Evil aviation.
My questions :
I'd like to keep the old engine gauges and instruments. In order to have redundancy.
Can the Garmin 275 EIS probes also be used for the old original gauges?
Is that a good idea to keep the old gauges ?
Thank you for your valuable advices.
Alain

Alain,
I removed all the old gauges when I installed 2xGi-275 as EIS 2 years ago. I also installed CiES fuel senders and display fuel quantity on the GI-275.

You need new probes for MP, RPM, oil P, oil T, fuel quantity, fuel flow, fuel pressure. The G3X sensor kit for 6 cyl engine has most of them.

Read all three GI275 installation manuals to get the full scope of the install.

Hello
Thanks for your answer. Sorry for my ignorance ... but what is the CiES fuel senders and display you installed ... The GI 275 EIS face their own display no ?

CiES is a company that makes digital fuel level float sensors. I thought since I was putting all new sensors in for the digital gauges I might as well include fuel quantity.

You mentioned stec 55x. Is it already in the plane? Or are you doing new installation? If new installation, where are you sourcing it from?

Reviving old fuel sender EIS combo question

Learjetter, I am purchasing a 77 P337G that has 2 old EDM 700’s and Shadin digiflo. I want to go with 2 GI 275’s for EIS and new CIES senders to get the most accurate fuel on remaining possible. Since you’ve had that same install for a while now, are you still happy with the performance. Thanks!
