P's appear to be in demand right now and there are not that many for sale at any given time. The good ones sell quickly. What was true when the P337 first appeared remains true today: this is the most cost effective entry into the pressurized world and the performance numbers remain nothing short of astonishing.

Any annual can be signed off with inoperative equipment. That would include the pressurization. This being said, given how simple the system is, I do not see what the gains would be achieved by removing parts such as the outflow valve or the safety valve. Also note that the heater on a P is connected to the pressurization system. And you will still have the turbos to deal with.

The P has a switch where you can turn the pressurization on and off. You can also set the pressurization to start at higher altitudes if you do not want it on while flying low.

If you do not want a P, just wait for the right non-P to come onto the market...
