Long/short story...they're the latest version of the
NavStrobe Sextant brand that
Aircraft Spruce sells for $450USD. Except that guy on Beechtalk thought that Spruce were being a little hefty with the markup so he tracked down the supplier and bought in bulk for his buddies on the ramp. He had a few sets leftover that he
posted for sale on BT and it caught on quickly.
He recently got the latest 40w design and I sprang for a pair. It was $100USD including USPS priority shipping to Canada. It didn't include the clear lenses so I bought a pair of those from Spruce for about $15USD each.
Nice guy and the product seems great.
I've also got an
LED T10 wedge rear position light coming directly from NavStrobe and some
28v maplights from LedTronics specifically designed for aircraft coming shortly. I'll do threads on those when they arrive.
