I had the rear go out. the problem was the wires right as they enter the motor had become flaky due to the action of opening and closing the flap. try wiggling these wires and see if the motor works. If so its an easy fix to take the motor end off and re-solder these. I went the whole rebuild route only to discover this was the actual problem when the rebuilt motor also didn't work. Georges did the rebuild and didn't catch this btw.
